Eco-Fest, June 28, 2008
For those of you who missed it . . . Pixel Organics hit the street to greet and meet at the Eco-Fest in Venice Beach this weekend. A beautiful day to hang out at the beach. Lots of wanderers exploring a world of green.

Speaking of clean . . .
According to the Seventh Generation website,
http://www.seventhgeneration.com
"If every household in the US replaced just one bottle of 100 oz. 2x ultra petroleum-based liquid laundry detergent with our (Seventh Generation) 100 oz. 2x ultra vegetable-based product, we could save 460,000 barrels of oil. Enough to heat and cool 27,000 US homes for a year!
Just thought I'd share!
At first . . . overwhelmed!
When we began our quest to convert all of our products to "certified organic" or sustainable materials I found myself a bit overwhelmed. There was so much to learn. And the more I learned the more I wanted to learn! I quickly accepted that for my sanity and realistic retention of information I was going to have to accept it as an ongoing project. That's when I found

I signed up for their RSS feed and check it out in bits and pieces. Perfect for parents who may only get 5 minutes to read at a time (unless its "the Foot Book" or "Hand Hand Fingers Thumb")!
Green West is here!
It's not too late to check out "Green West" at the LA Convention Center (May 20-22). We at Pixel Organics were pleased to be invited to be part of the "Sustainable Living Spaces" inspired by Eric Lloyd Wright. Check out our "Nursery Nursery" featuring Love Lines crib set.

Additionally, if you live in the Los Angeles area you may here Chris on a 97.1 "green spot". Keep tuned.
Free bags!
My friend Teresa is one of those "super women" who is not only a professor and artist, she has three kids and now a new philanthropic adventure!
Her mission -- to spread the use of fabric bags rather than paper or plastic.
Check out her blog and receive a free bag simply for the promise that you will use it!

If you've got spare fabric sitting around that you know you'll never put to use -- forward it to Teresa and let it become part of "operation green bag lady!"
Finding balance of my own . . .
I finally allowed myself the indulgence of reading a book (that didn't involve a duck, a truck or a pig). Something that I hadn't found time for in over a year. It came to me from my sister who told me she "had to" buy it for me . . . for those of you who haven't already read "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert go to the store (or library) now!
Roaring back in to stock before you know it . . .
Good news! I spoke with my printer this morning about "Lions" print date . . . I've been informed that it should be "any day!" I'm super excited to get our Lions back in stock. Join me for a little hip! hip! hooray!
